Welcome to Cornerstone Academy!
Cornerstone Academy is truly a vision fulfilled. Over 20 years ago Rev. Wm. Dwight McKissic, Sr., senior pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, received a vision from God which included a private Christian school to educate children through the 12th grade. On January 2, 2007 Cornerstone Academy held its first day of class with only 13 students 6 weeks-pre-kindergarten. God truly blessed our endeavors and the school continues to grow adding more grade levels each year. Currently our program consists of two components: Learning Center- nursery-pre-kindergarten and Elementary: kindergarten-sixth grade.
Curriculum
Our curriculum goal is to apply the core values of Cornerstone Academy by encouraging each student to achieve his/her fullest potential spiritually, academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.
