On Friday January 15th, all students at Cornerstone Academy may dress in costume to reflect their future career plans in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Students traveling to golf Lessons should bring their spirit shirt to change into before they depart for Rockwood Golf Course in Ft. Worth.
Students will also celebrate the 100th day of school on Friday January 15th! Students may bring 100 count of any item such as their favorite snack, collector’s items, etc.. to either share with or show their classmates. Be creative and have fun. The student who brings the most creative 100 items to show/share will win a $25 gift certificate to be redeemed at Cornerstone Academy!!! Parents, this means you get to help them, help you earn some tuition money back!

Elementary students will not travel to Rockwood Golf Course for lessons again until January 15, 2010.
Ms. Pugh’s homeroom class will travel to the AMC Theatre at the Parks Mall in Arlington on Thursday Dec. 17th to view the new Disney Movie The Princess and The Frog. Students do not need any money unless desired for concessions. The girls need to wear a Cornerstone Academy spirit t-shirt.
Mr. Miller’s Homeroom will have a Game Day on Thursday Dec. 17th to celebrate the holidays!. All boys are allowed to bring their favorite video game system including personal gaming systems. The boys will spend time together enjoying pizza, candy and games and fellowshipping with one another.
Cornerstone Academy will host it’s annual Scholastic Book Fair October 18-25th. Parents, volunteers are needed to help setup the cases on Friday October 16th. We will also need help operating the book fair on Sunday mornings and during the week. Please sign-up for a slot with your child’s homeroom teacher or send an email to academy@cbcarlington.org to become a volunteer. Be sure to list your t-shirt size.
The Book Fair is open to the community and all proceeds benefit our school so….spread the word!
