Cornerstone Academy is required by the Department of State Health Services to maintain certain nutritional measures. More information can be found in our Student Handbook but here are a few quick points:

• Meals cannot be substituted without a doctor’s signature on the Allergy Medical Plan (found in Parent Downloads). This form is in addition to the Medical form (also found in Parent Downloads) which states a child is well enough to attend care.
• Meals are NOT substituted by CA. Parents must provide alternate meals. However, they must meet the proper guidelines with the correct amount of protein, fruits and/or vegetables. If meals from home do not comply with guidelines, CA will have to feed your child their meal of the day. However, if there is an allergy, CA will not serve them, and the parent will be called to bring food.
• At 10am, students are fed a “brain snack” which consists of a small amount of dry cereal or fruit.
• At 5pm, students are allowed to eat their own snacks. Parents must provide this optional meal.
